Three Workshop Examples

1: A quick and powerful way to improve your future workshops

1. Reserve two minutes at the end of your next session.
2. Ask participants to rate the session and write down one remark or suggestion.
3. Review the sticky notes to improve future sessions:
   • Try to do even more of the things people liked.
   • Pick one thing you can improve.
4. Repeat steps 1 to 3 every workshop.

2: When you need to make a decision fast...

1. Clearly state the proposal.
2. Review the rules (see screenshot).
3. List and discuss questions.
4. Get everyone's first reaction.
5. Restate the proposal (if necessary).
6. Gather and handle possible objections.
7. State the final decision and communicate it.

3: Tailor workshops to each participant

This is something you can do at the start of every training or workshop:

Ask participants what would make the session a success for them.

This simple question helps you transform the workshop from a one-size-fits-all session into a personalized experience.

Each participant's expectations and goals are acknowledged and addressed.

Two Async Tips

Being busy sometimes can be okay...

But being busy every day is energy-draining. 🪫

Two ways to be less busy while being more productive, using team agreements:

1: Have dedicated moments to collaborate

Many teams feel like they hardly get anything done by the end of the day.

The reason?

The expectation to always be available for others.

Every notification distracts from the work you are actually doing.

This is killing for productivity.

The best gift you can give team members is having a couple of hours each day to do focused work.

How to create those team agreements:

1. Pick one 📅 Weekly Workshop day. On this day, you reflect on your past week, improve how you work, and plan your next week together.
2. For the other weekdays, agree on 🕰️ Core hours. During these hours, you expect others to be available to collaborate async.

If everyone follows these agreements, you can make all other meetings with three or more people obsolete.

2: Crystal-clear communication agreements

Communication is the lifeline of effective teamwork.

However, without clear agreements on communication channels, teams often face a chaotic mix of missed messages, overlooked emails, and fragmented conversations.

This leads to:

• Missed critical info and deadlines.
• Frustration amongst team members.
• Plus, a significant drop in productivity.

Establishing clear, team-wide communication agreements can transform this chaos into streamlined efficiency.

By agreeing on specific platforms for different types of communication, everyone knows where to look and what to expect.
